GREIF, JOY AND GRIT
My Brief Origin Story (part 2)
Loss, Grief & our Life Long Healing Journey
I have lived through the loss of my birth mother at the age of 5, all of my grandparents (both blood related and extended family), the mom who raised my siblings and I at the age of 21, and in the span of 2019 - 2023 the loss of 5 members of the tribe, including my birth father, beloved uncles, a sweet friend and a lost love. All of which left me raw, rather speechless & in awe of how precious our time together really is.

Healing will forever be an on going process for me. Sharing my story and utilizing the lessons I've learned along the way helps me gain clarity. Coaching & creating with parents, educators and fellow creatives gives my grief a channel of purpose and helps me stay infinitely connected with the ones I love and miss so very much!
The Discovery of Joy vs. Happiness
During some of the saddest, deep darkest moments of my life, where the goal of happiness was a finish line that felt infinitely far off, I was able to find and know the okay-ness of JOY in the simplest moments.

To take in a deep breath in, allowing the heaviness of my eyes to rest on the sunshine sparkling on the leaves as they move with the wind.
The sound of my sisters and besties laughter.
The first sip of Matcha in the morning or any time for that matter.
As we live this one precious life, joy & grief can and do hold our hands at the same time. We see more clearly, feel more deeply and if we can... we keep going one moment after another.
I have Grit... and how beautiful it is.
I feel:
I definitely feel messed up at times. My brain can be a mess and sometimes doing the next right thing means pausing and giving myself space to he a hot damn mess.
I know:
I know, that since the age of 5 I have had enough grit to keep going and get to this point.
I know the duality of feeling the infinite well of grief and simultaneously engaging with joy, exhaustion, relief and the "what's next".
I know that I have nurtured the seeds my mom planted about learning from our hard moments and have allowed them to deepen my connection with others and to source.
I've learned:
I have learned along the way that my grit how ever heavy and messy makes me an even more beautiful & lovable human being. In that way I extend myself here in order to help you know the same.
